We learn as much as we can in high school to get the good marks and knowledge that will enable us to go to college, and then we strive to earn a degree. The goal is to become the best in our profession and become attractive for the big companies, or start our own venture. Usually the goal is to make enough money and to get the recognition we deserve, but that only matters if we are proud and feel good about ourselves. Many people are not happy that they’ve become tools in a big company which cares only about profit and which would throw them away the second they are not generating profit.
This kind of people will look for something else, a new opportunity to prove their worth and share all their knowledge and expertise with somebody who deserves it. The non profit jobs are an excellent way to chase the new dream, because one will not only get the money and respect that he received at his previous workplace. It is about the overwhelming feeling of joy that can only be generated by knowing that your actions are helping the ones who can’t help themselves.
Non profit jobs won’t demand you to work for free and depending on what your profession is, you can make quite a lot of money in such a field. If you are working in a big organization and are in charge of important activities, you will be paid very well, because your skills will translate into more money for the charity. While the organization itself won’t record profit and will use the extra money to help more people, you as an employee will receive the money you deserve.
