When we think about lockers, our mind flies instinctively to products made from highly durable materials and featuring an intricate locking system, assuming that the contents are precious. There are many cases when such furniture is needed, but when it comes to kids lockers, the focus is placed on the children’s safety rather than the objects stored inside.
In kindergartens for example, we don’t necessarily need lockers that have an impenetrable locking system, because there are no things of great value to protect. We should be looking for those lockers for sale that have round edges and are made from materials that are not dangerous in case the little ones fall and hit them. A simple one made from laminate and sporting a few cubbies is ideal for the job and if a couple of trays are added, it gets even better.
The same goes for the school lockers which are supposed to be roomy enough to accommodate all the gear and bags that kids might carry on them. The material has to be durable to withstand a moderate level of abuse, but at the same time light, so that the entire locker could be transported from one place to another.
